As per medical research, COVID-19 is more vulnerable towards kids and the elderly. It can also become problematic with people having co-morbidities such as diabetes and cancer. In an exemplary episode of personal courage and doctor's determination, a 3-year-old kid named Bishal Das who is a cancer survivor has finally managed to beat COVID-19 in Assam.
Taking to Twitter, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the story.

Assam currently has 58837 total cases, out of which 40591 have recovered and 18098 are active cases with 145 deaths. The positivity rate is 4.585 and 1123 COVID cases have been detected out of 24492 tests in last 24 hrs.
Earlier, two trends of COVID cases in Guwahati in between 16th July to 8th August in Assam. Positivity rate has come down from 18% to 4.5%. The number of positive cases per day is also slowing down.
Taking to Twitter, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted. “Need to maintain this trend for a few more weeks”.
