A total of 90 people have newly been tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam taking the tally to 2243. Of these, 37 Dhubri, 15 D Hasao, 7 K'ganj, 7 Cachar, 7 Baksa, 6 H'kandi, 3 Udalguri, 2 S Salmara, 2 Dhemaji, 1 each Nalbari/Barpeta/Bongaigaon/Chirang
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:
With the detection of new cases, the total number of confirmed cases has gone up to 2243. Of the 2243 cases, 1727 are active and 509 have been cured or discharged. Four people have died of the infection in the state so far.
Assam has crossed the 1000-mark in 60 days. It reported the first case on March 31st, 2020. Both the last 2 days have reached 200 cases.
So far, today Assam has 128 cases.
