Assam: AASAA organises 7th Triennial Conference in Margherita

MARGHERITA: All Adivasi Students Association of Assam(AASAA) Margherita Regional Committee on tuesday organised its 7th Triennial Conference at Margherita India Club.

The programme began with hoisting of AASAA flag by Jarnel Minj President of AASAA Margherita Regional Committee followed by floral tribute to the portrait of Late Justin Lakra Founder President of AASAA which was done by Ajay Mundri General Secretary of AASAA Margherita Regional Committee.            

An Traditional Adivasi Song was sung by Anil Nag Advisor of AASAA Margherita Regional Committee. After that day a long Programme was held such as Sports Competition,Beauty Contest and Adivasi Cultural Programme.                    

In the evening delegates Session was held where AASAA Tinsukia District Committee President Raja Kujur,General Secretary Ramanus Lakra including AASAA 40 Branch Committee members were present where 32 members Committee with Jarnel Minj as President and Samuel Topno as General Secretary of All Adivasi Students Association of Assam(AASAA) Margherita Regional Committee was formed for the term 3 years.                                                              

At night a Cultural Programme was held where Padma Shri Awardee Dulal Manki,newly Elected Satra Mukti Sangram Samity General Secretary Rahul Chetry was felicitated.                      

Adivasi Traditional Singers such as Nabin Tanti,Akhil Moni Gowala,Jayanti Barla and Tersa Ponam Barla enthralled the present Audience.
