Assam all Set for 'Ambubachi Mela' Celebrations

Guwahati, June 17, 2019:

The Ambubachi Mela Parichalana Committee is all set to host the biggest mela of the state “Ambubachi” from June 26.

For the devotees who will reach the Kamakhya temple on June 26, all the facilities like rest stations, medical camps, toilets, drinking water, etc have been arranged by the committee.

The authorities of the temple have also arranged food for the members of the government and non-governmental organizations who will provide service during the entire duration of the mela.

The committee has also arranged resting camps for the commuters travelling to the temple from the lower gate of the temple.

The committee has also requested the Assam administration for proper security arrangements during this period of time. It has taken steps to make the area of the temple plastic free and also requested the visitors to maintain that.

There will be 24 drinking water facilities and electricity during the entire period of the mela, the body added.
