Guwahati (Assam), Aug 20, 2018:

Assam government has announced Rs 3 crore for Kerala as relief to tide over the devastation caused by the unprecedented flood there. This was stated by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal here on Monday.

Over 300 people perished and lakhs have been affected by the deluge in the southern Indian State.

Sonowal said, “The Government of Assam will provide Rs 3 crore to the Kerala government in view of the devastating floods there.”

The Assam Chief Minister further directed the revenue and disaster management department to set up helplines to help in reaching out to the people of Assam who are currently stranded in Kerala.
