ASSAM: ANOTHER CASE OF MOB LYNCHING

The spread of the fake news over the social media is leading to utter disgrace day by day.

After the mob lynching incident happened in Karbi Anglong which took away innocent lives of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das for a fake news which was spread over social media that completely shaked the entire state,another case of mob attack took place in Sonitpur district, Thelamara.On 29th Jume, friday a women was brutally beaten up by a group of locals over suspicion of child abductors. The women were beaten for hours by the public.

According to the source, the woman was rescued by the police who reached the spot and took charge of the situation and they sent her to the Tezpur medical hospital for further treatment. As per reports the women is mentally ill for which it made difficult for the police to identify her. Further steps were taken by the police to stop the rumours over the social media.
