Assam Assembly constitutes state media advisory committee; here's the list of members

GUWAHATI: The Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA) today formed a Media Advisory Committee. The terms of the committee shall be one year from the date of the constitution.

Pranjit Saika, the Managing editor of DY365, has been chosen as the chairman of the committee, while Manoj Kumar Nath, from Niyomiya Barta has been named vice-chairman.

Independent journalist Horen Buragohain has been selected as the Secretary of the Committee and, Afrida Hussain, Editor-in-Chief of Inside Northeast has been named Joint Secretary.

Anamitra Gogoi (News Live), Param Prakash Gogoi (Pratidin), Jitendra kumar  Choudhury (Dainik Asom), Durba Ghosh ( Press Trust of India), Moon Goswami (NK TV), Samya Bharadwaj(Amar Asom), Jonjyoti Dutta Bora (Prag News), Partha Dev Goswami (Asomiya Pratidin), Rajen Basumatary (Bodoland Engkhong TV) are the other members of the Committee.

The committee's major responsibility is to advise the ALA secretariat on the admission of various media organisations to the ALA Press Gallery in order for them to cover the house's proceedings.
