ASSAM: AN AUTOCRATIC RULE BY RIPUN BORA: PARTH PROTIM BORA

Parth Protim Bora, secretary of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) slammed Ripun Bora, President of APCC and MP of Rajya Sabha for Assam.

Parth Protim Bora lashed out at Ripun Bora and alleged him of creating Groupism and playing lobby-centric Politics. He stated that Ripun Bora has launched 'Tihar-rule' within Congress. He sited certain instances to conform the allegations. Protim mentioned the incident of Tezpur where the district NSUI committee organized a felicitation program for the meritious students emerging in the board examination at Tezpur District Library which was scheduled to be held on 9th of June. The committee invited the personas of Tarun Gogoi, Debabrata Saikia, Ripun Bora to preside over the meeting. Parth Protim Bora was also one of the invitees. However Protim stated the Ripun Bora cancelled the program to be held prior to one day of the program on the pretext that he had to attend some other rally. Protim also informed that NSUI had to ultimately cut down the program even after the wholesome arrangement. It was also informed that the National Committee of NSUI called upon and warned of suspension. When Protim voiced against such autocracy he was given expulsion letter.

Parth Protim Bora challenged Ripun Bora to contest fresh elections to the post of President of APCC and see if he wins. Parth Protim Bora also blamed Ripun Bora for making the party filthy with the personal motives that he is guided by.
