"If I get a privilege, I will do whatever is good for the public", Saoraigwra said, and added that he will try to honour the commitment given by the NDFB in regards to fulfilling the tenets of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Accord.
Responding to his fellow NDFB leader Ferrenga, he said that everything will be carried out within the ambit of a "democratic" process. "99.9% boys...cadres...are with me", Saoraigwra further said, hinting at a strong NDFB contingent backing the ruling party in the forthcoming elections.

It may be mentioned here that the joining of the NDFB supremo comes a day after his fellow NDFB leader, Ferrenga, had joined the UPPL.
Speaking on the lines of Saoraigwra during his joining, Ferrenga had said, “I believe that he will come forward by keeping aside all his personal issues aside and join the UPPL." Meanwhile, Gobinda Basumatary alleged that due to personal interests the leaders of the disbanded NDFB, Saoraigwra and Dhiren Boro, they have refrained from joining the UPPL.
