Sonari, January 9, 2019:

'Dafli Waale', continues to be a hit in parties and gatherings due to the infectious nature of its tune. In the popular music video to the wildly-popular song, Rishi Kapoor romances his ladylove, Jaya Prada, by playing a dafli (tambourine).

Now, in a recent party, the BJP MLA evidently went bonkers and could be seen grooving to the beat-heavy song as onlookers looked on in amazement and appreciation. At one point, the MLA can even be seen picking up a plate and beating it, mimicking Rishi Kapoor's memorable moves in the video. The MLA's highly energetic dance performance, that was released on social media platforms, is being widely shared online.

Earlier, the MLA had stirred up another controversy after she was seen dozing off during her very first day in the Assam Assembly.

The Sonari MLA, who took her oath of affirmation on November 28, was caught snoozing by the camera during the ongoing discussion, which was perhaps evident of the boredom that the MLA was feeling during the session.

Meanehile, the MLA's dance performance has drawn sharp criticism from many quarters as Assam continues to be up-in-arms against the controversial legislation.

In the widespread protests that erupted after the passage of the Bill in the Rajya Sabha on December 11, as many as 5 people were killed, while crores worth of property was destroyed by miscreants.
