Jorhat, February 17, 2020:

Titabor in Assam has turned into a battleground after workers of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) came to blows on Monday.

However, BJP workers disrupted the protest and snatched the symbolic black flags away from the clutches of the AASU.

It has been reported that BJP leader Kamakhya Prasad Tasa got down from his vehicle after the AASU protest stalled the movement of the BJP troupe's convoy.

The agitated BJP workers were heard sloganeering against the 'Jatiyatabadis'.

The incident reportedly occurred when a convoy carrying Dass and Tasa were passing through the area that falls under Jorhat district in Upper Assam that has seen the bulk of the protests against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
