Manoj Debnath is a young arm wrestler from Assam who is all set to represent India in the 38th Arm Wrestling Championship in Bulgaria from October 1 to October 10. He achieved his first arm wrestling championship in the 2013 by participating in College Annual week Arm-wrestling Championship at Dibrugarh where he grabbed the winning title below 55 kg category and also won the Overall Champion title.

Besides coming from a poor family it is difficult for him to prepare for the big event but with the support of General Secretary of Arm-wrestling Association of Assam, Mr. Pran Pratim Chaliha motivated him throughout. The young arm wrestler has also requested the state government to provide some financial support to achieve his goals.
