GUWAHATI: A new enquiry committee has been constituted in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) to investigate the financial irregularities and anomalies during the rule of the Bodoland People's Front (BPF).

 

 

BTC CEM Pramod Boro said that a two-member inquiry committee has been formed to enquire into the financial irregularities and anomalies worth over Rs 2,300 crores in the BTC during the BPF ruled BTC administration.

 

 

Newly-assigned BTC executive members Ranjit Basumatary and Gautam Das have been engaged as members in the enquiry committee.

It needs mention here that 6 new members have been inducted as Executive Members in the Bodoland Territorial Council at a program that was recently held at the BTC Legislative Assembly Auditorium.

 

 

BTC's Principal Secretary Siddharth Singh inducted the new executive members. With the induction of the new members, the total strength of the BTC Executive Council has gone up to 15

 

 

Meanwhile, BTC chief Boro has expressed hope that the centre's budget would usher in welfare in the BTR areas.
