Assam Cabinet approves ₹700 crore for Hindustan Paper Corporation employees

DHEMAJI: Assam Government during its cabinet meeting in Dhemaji announced to approve over Rs 700 crore for the employees of Hindustan Paper Corporation.

The cabinet also approved Rs 1800 Cr for rewarding around 11 lakh beneficiaries of micro finance loans.

The government went on to announce that Dhemaji district's Dhakuakhana's Sarikuria tribal belt will be de-notified. Similarly, a new tribal belt will be created encompassing 89 revenue villages of Sissycolony.

The cabinet also decided to build a new stadium in Dhemaji with a budget of 50 Cr.

The cabinet further went on to approve ₹ 150 for flood control in Dhemaji.
