Assam: Campaign to stop violence against women and girls organised in Haflong

HAFLONG: A District level consultative workshop on ending violence against women and girls was organised today at District Library auditorium in Haflong

The workshop was organized by Social welfare departments along with the District Legal Services Authority, District Administration and Police Administration.

The officers from respective departments took part in the program, there were also present many NGOs and social organizations in the workshop.

The authorities and NGO heads gave awarenes speech to the participants and explained them how to fight against violence.

There were slogan given by the participants like "Beti bachao beti padhao", "Dehej lena jurm he" , " Dehej mat do", "Mahilao k upar aytachar band karo" etc.

A rally was also organised to spread awareness in Haflong.
