SIVASAGAR: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday attended the platinum jubilee celebrations of Sibsagar College in upper Assam.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister has stated that more focus should be given on soft skills, fluency in English as well as being tech savvy.
State education Minister Ranoj Pegu was also present during the occasion along with other dignitaries and several current and former students.

The Chief Minister also said that perhaps there is a need to deviate from the conventional way or traditional thinking when it comes to education.
He stressed that the curriculum should be such that every science student should be able to crack NEET or medical entrances.
"If any tie up with national coaching centres is requires, the state government will assist", stated the Chief Minister.
