The Congress party has launched a nationwide protest from November 5 to November 15 against the economic slowdown in the country and the BJP Government’s failure.

Apart from this, the party also protested against the price rise of essential commodities, job loss, crash in the banking sector, etc.

Hundreds of Congress workers participated in the protest rally in Guwahati that started from MNDP-hostel of Cotton University and headed towards the RBI breaking through barricades set by the police.

The protest turned hostile after a clash broke out between the Congress leaders and police. Following this, the police ‘lathi-charged’ the protestors and dragged some of them away.
