Assam Congress Lodges FIR against BJP MLA’s Media Cell Advisor

Margherita, October 26, 2019:

An FIR has been lodged against Media Cell Advisor of Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma for his alleged derogatory comments about Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi from Bhaskar Sharma Fans Club Facebook Account.

Media Cell Advisor of Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma, Rupam Deodhai Baruah shared a Facebook post through Bhaskar Sharma Fans Club Facebook Account about Former Margherita MLA wherein he had made derogatory remarks about the Congress MP a few days ago.

Spokesperson of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee Upper Assam, Manoranjan Borgogahain said, “Rupam Deodhai Baruah who is also the Convener of Margherita MLA 'Bhaskar Sharma Fans club' has written a controversial comment against Pradyut Bordoloi. Rupam has written inflammatory comments and also wrote that Pradyut Bordoloi has been involved in the killing of Tribal Leader Prashanna Turung and his wife Komai Turung. This is fabricated and baseless.”

Manoranjan Borgohain said, “Rupam has compared Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi to the ten-headed Ravana which has hurt the sentiments of all All Assam Congress workers and members.”

Following this, Congress has registered a case at the Margherita Police Station case number IPC 67(IT) 294(A),500/506 Act. They have demanded the immediate arrest of Rupam Deodhai Baruah and legal action against him.
