In yet another mob attack over child kidnapping suspicion, a mentally challenged woman was assaulted by a mob in Sonai area of Cachar. She was also mistaken by the mob to be a child abductor.

Local Police reached the spot and rescued her from further assault. After rescuing her, they informed that the woman was mentally challenged.

Lately, mob assaults have become a serious concern across India. Assam also has been witnessing mob attacks over suspicion of child abduction since the past year.
