Assam has recorded 155 new COVID-19 cases late night on June 7th, 2020 taking the state’s total to 2681. Previously on the day, the state recorded 92 cases. So, the total cases recorded should be 247. However, an inadvertent error on June 6 had led to over-reporting of 39 cases. So-net total, after adjustments, on Sunday is 208
Informing this, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:
Of the total 2681 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 2038 are active cases while 636 have been cured and discharged while four died due to the infection so far.
Assam has crossed the 1000-mark in 60 days. It reported the first case on March 31st, 2020. Both, the last 2 days have reached 200+ cases.

India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives on June 3rd. On June 8th, the country currently has 2,47,000+ confirmed COVID-19 cases, 125381 active cases with 124094 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 7135.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 3 thousand deaths. It has recorded 85975 corona cases with 39314 cured, 3060 deaths, and 43601 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 27654 cases with 10664 cured, 761 deaths, and 16229 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 31667 positive cases with 16999 cured, 269 deaths 14399 active cases. Gujarat with 20070 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 13635 have been cured, 1249 deaths, and 5186 active cases.
