In a video that is quickly going viral in social media platforms, a doctor can be seen badly misbehaving with a patient at the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) in Jorhat city of Assam.

In the incident, an unidentified doctor can be seen rudely behaving with a lady. He incessantly yells at her, and refuses to see her patient. "I won't see your patient. Do what you will!", the doctor yells at the patient in an intimidating manner. The incident was captured on video and has been widely shared on social media platforms.

Meanwhile, some sections of the public have started demanding the expulsion of this ill-mannered doctor.
Sharing this video on Facebook, Nabajit Borthakur, an Assam journalist, wrote: "Himanta Biswa Sharma sir, strict yet peaceful punishment must be meted out to this person. Thanks to your efforts to uplift the health department, people are now flocking to Government health centres. But you should not let the entire department suffer for few such ill-mannered doctors. Such ill-behaved doctors should be de-registered."
It remains to be seen whether the Assam Finance Minister, Himanta Biswa, will take action against the rude Jorhat Medical doctor, but this incident presents a rather shocking picture of the healthcare personnel in Assam.
