The state of Assam is all set to get six brand new flyovers! This was confirmed by Assam state Transport Minister Chandramohan Patowary on Monday during a meeting of the State Road Safety Council.
Moreover, Patowary confirmed that three of these flyovers will be constructed in Guwahati city at Lokhra, Gorchuk and Basistha Chariali areas of the city. The remaining three flyovers will be constructed at Nagaon, Bongaigaon and Dibrugarh districts.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will be in charge of constructing the six flyovers in Assam.
The construction work will begin as soon as the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is completed. The construction work is tentatively scheduled to begin in October, 2019.
