Assam Girl Gangotri Bordoloi Wins Cycling Gold in 'Khelo India Games'

Guwahati, January 13, 2020:

Assam girl Gangotri Bordoloi has bagged a Gold medal in cycling at the third edition of Khelo India Youth Games 2020 held in Guwahati's Sarusajai Stadium.

Gangotri won Gold in the 60-km section. Another cyclist, Chayanika Gogoi has bagged Bronze in the same 60-km category.

Odisha's Dinesh Kumar had on Sunday bagged the gold in the U-21 Individual 30 km event at the Khelo India Youth Games on Sunday. He completed the race by clocking 40:11:33 seconds.

Puja Basumatary from Assam had on Sunday become the first Assamese to bag a gold in the Games after she finished atop the podium in the the 57 kg category in Judo. Basumatary hails from Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
