Assam: Gitika Saikia's novel 'Sara Phule Kotha Kole' released

Journalist Gitika Saikia's autobiographical novel “Sara Phule Kotha Kole' has been released on Saturday in a function organised at the Cotton Alumni building.

According to reports, Eminent novelist Phanindra Kr. Devchoudhury released the book. Writer Leena Sarma, former Chief Secretary of Assam Kumar Sanjay Krishna, Professor Meenakshi Buragohain, among others also graced the occasion.

The book portrays the journey of Gitika Saikia in the challenging field of journalism. The book also describes the lives of the widows' of Vrinandaban and the verdict given by the Supreme Court of India concerning their lives.
