The Assam Government will provide land rights (patta) to 60 thousand indigenous Assamese families on 5 October. So far, the Sarbananda Sonwal-led BJP government has provided land pattas to 46 thousand indigenous Assamese families. This will fullfil the promise made by Assam Government to provide land rights to one lakh families

Moreover, in the coming budget session, the state will initiate process to provide land rights to additional one lakh indigenous Assamese families. This was announced by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal during a review meeting of the revenue department held in Guwahati.
It is to be mentioned that on 24 September CM Sonowal will officially inaugurate the Arundhati scheme that will provide Rs. 40,000 relief to the beneficiary.
