GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has announced a fresh set of standard operating procedures (SOPs) today with immediate effect for the passengers arriving in the state by air, railways and roads.
As per the new SOPs, all incoming passengers who have completed both the doses of COVID-19 vaccines, on furnishing the certificate of the same, will be exempted from mandatory testing on arrival at Airports, Railway stations, Road Border Points, etc.

Passengers with a negative COVID-19 test report samples taken within 72 hours of their arrival in Assam will also be exempted from the COVID-19 test.
However, symptomatic passengers have to undergo mandatory RT-PCR testing at their own cost on arrival at airports, railway stations, etc. in Assam.
