Assam Govt fixes maximum annual fee for government educational institutions

GUWAHATI: The Government of Assam has laid out fixed maximum annual fees for the government educational institutions, which includes schools and colleges. A notification was issued by the Secretary to the Government of Assam Secondary Education Department for the maximum school fee for the governmental educational institutions.

Here is the detailed fee structure table for the government schools in the state:

The government has fixed annual fee up to Class 5 is Rs 27,000

For class 6th- 10th: Rs 32,000

Commerce: Rs 33,000

Science: Rs 37,000

Meanwhile, seven schools applied for review of fee structure and 13 schools filed petition in High court.
