GUWAHATI: On the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti, Assam government today launched Mission Basundhara which aims at purification of land records & conducting survey & re-survey of villages.

The government took the step step to fulfil a key poll promise of securing land rights of indigenous people.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Under #MissionBasundhara, a slew of services including survey of non-cadastral villages, re-survey of all cadastral villages, digitisation of land records, etc., will be carried out.”
