Assam Health Minister Himan Biswa Sarma held a press conference where he stated some key announcements in terms of schemes which includes a premier scheme called "Arunodoi".

Every week till 15th September, the Health Minister will bring forward a new scheme or a new implementation for the development of Assam and Arunodoi will be the number the 1 scheme among them.

Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that "in next 5 years, all schemes will be imolemented through Arunodoi scheme

The Assam government has also started Sarba Brihat DBT Scheme from 17 August and Beneficiary selection will start from district level committee will start. Only women will be the beneficiary of the scheme to ensure its proper use by the family.

Himanta Biswa Sarma further reacted on the latest clause 6 committee report being released by the All Assam Students Union (AASU). In that report, he commented that the report needs to enter the Assembly only to form a proper solution. He also criticised the AASU of creating more complications with the release of the report and called them “a political party and no longer an organisation”.

“Assamese rights is Assam Legislative Assembly business and until then the Centre has nothing to do. But, in the meantime we have facilitated delimitation to compliment once these measures are implemented”, said Himanta Biswa Sarma.
