With a view to accelerate the pace of development, Hailakandi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Keerthi Jalli monitored and reviewed the status of various schemes and projects.
In a meeting held at her office conference hall on Tuesday evening, DC, Jalli asked the district heads of concerned departments and agencies to pitch in all efforts to hasten development in the district.
Reviewing the status of Centrally Sponsored Scheme Multi-sectoral Development Programme (MsDP) restructured and renamed as Pradhan Manti Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), Jalli asked the officials to draw up a comprehensive action plan for socio-economic infrastructure development and providing basic amenities to the minority communities. Taking up non-gap filling innovative projects to reduce imbalances in the identified minority concentration areas and speeding up the development process was underscored.

She reviewed the status of implementation of MPLADS and MLALADS for 2016-17 and 2017-18. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of works under untied funds and directed the concerned officials to expedite their execution.
She asked the officials of different departments and agencies for completion of ongoing works within August 31 and to submit detailed reports with photographs and timelines.
Jalli asked the concerned heads of departments and agencies to take special care in submitting plan and estimates keeping in view the intended beneficiaries.
She also reviewed the status of progress of works under DRDA, Zilla Parishad, PHED, PWD (Buildings) and in the all five development blocks of the district.
The review meeting that lasted for more than three hours was attended, among others, by Additional Deputy Commissioner, EL Faihriem, CEO, Zilla Parishad, NKSK Singha, officials of the district administration, Circle Officers and district heads of different departments and agencies.
