KOKRAJHAR: Assam Health, Finance, and Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today called upon the Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland People's Front (BPF) to give audits on all funds received from the state and central governments since 2006.
Taking a dig at the Hagrama Mohilary-led BPF which has ruled over the Council for 15 straight years, Sarma alleged that the BPF party has indulged in 'massive' corrupt practices and mal-appropriation of Government sanctioned money.

The NEDA convenor, speaking on the sidelines of a rally in Kokrajhar's Fakiragram, Himanta Biswa Sarma exuded confidence that his BJP party would be winning a majority in the forthcoming elections and form the Government in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Dr Sarma today addressed two election campaigns meeting for BTC elections party candidates Kabita Basumatary and Arup Kumar Dey at Salakati and Fakiragram constituencies in Kokrajhar district respectively. The Minister confirmed that there would be no alliance with the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) in the polls.
Attacking Minister Chandan Brahma for his remarks on the BTR accord, Sarma said that Brahma is not the sardar of Assam to object to the Government's dictum on his mere whims.
Dr Sarma also assured that the government has been stepping up to solve the issues of the militant outfits of the Adivasis within a "short period."
He said that the culprits who murdered Lafikul Islam Ahmed would be booked at the earliest as CBI has already launched an investigation into the murder case.
