Chandan Brahma saves the pride of Assam

Amidst all the uproar finally some good news in store for Assam A big day to rejoice for the state and definitely one of the milestones achieved by Chandan Brahma, the newly appointed Tourism Minister of Assam  The historic monuments of Assam are no longer in danger!  The ‘Adopt a heritage’ scheme will not be implemented in Assam. Such an achievement has been accomplished under the aegis of Chandan Brahma, an individual step by the Minister.

Yes! In a recent development in Assam Tourism Minister, Chandan Brahma has stated that ‘Adopt a heritage’ scheme won’t be implemented in Assam. He also stated that the historical monuments of Assam won’t be handed over to the Private Sector. The following was confirmed in a recent meeting by Chandan Brahma with Union Minister KJ Alphons.

Speaking to INSIDENE, the newly appointed Tourism Minister stated that after sending Departmental Executive Officer’s Letter(DEO) to the Union Minister of Tourism KJ Alphonse to reconsider the proposal to include historic sites and monuments of Assam  under the ‘ Adopt a Heritage’ Scheme, to which the Union Minister has finally consented to exclude Assam from the scheme. Chandan Brahma also stated that the people of the State can finally get away with all the apprehensions and suspicion as there is not even a morsel of doubt about Assam being excluded from the scheme

While the tourism minister also mentioned that he intimated the Minister regarding the problems faced by the state government in maintaining the heritage sites and the Union Minister promised to look into the issues .
