IPS Rakesh Roushan has assumed office as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Assam’s Kokrajhar district, replacing Rajen Singh.

“I assumed office of the Superintendent of Police of Kokrajhar on Sunday and I hope the public of this district cooperates. I am here to serve the people. Anyone facing any problem in Kokrajhar can meet me personally at my office. They can also contact me through phone or SMS me in my number regarding any information,” said the newly appointed SP of the district.

Roushan also informed that the Kokrajhar Police will be prepping up for the upcoming Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections.
“We will start the preparations as soon as we receive the notification. We hope that the election will be conducted in a smooth manner and peace will prevail during the elections,” added the SP.
