GUWAHATI: The Assam government on Friday issued fresh SOPs to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
The announcement was made by health Minsiter Keshab Mahanta in a press meet on Friday.
As per the fresh guidelines, all establishments in Kamrup metro district will remain open up to 3pm. Curfew hours will begin from 4pm in the district and remain in force till 5am in the morning.

Total Containment measures will be followed in Biswnath, Morigaon, Goalpara and Bokakhat sub division of Golaghat districts from Monday.
Only essential services will be allowed. Grocery shops will remain open from 5am to 5p.m.
The restrictions on inter district movement extended have been extended for one more week.
As per the new guidelines people who have been vaccinated with two doses of COVID vaccine, shall be exempted from mandatory testing on arrival at airports or railway stations in Assam from outside the state provided they produce a valid certificate depicting the fully vaccinated status of person with two doses of COVID vaccine.
As many as 247 containment zones have been identified so far by the state government.
More aggressive vaccination drives will be carried out from July 1, informed the Health Minister.
