Locals of Kokrajhar district in Assam have shut down a chemist's store in Goreswar area after a woman’s death, following 'wrong treatment'.
The woman, namely Lakshmi Sharma, aged 50, reportedly died due to an infection. Doctors said that the infection was caused due to the medicine that she was given by a local chemist's shop in the vicinity.
An enraged group of locals closed down the Chaya Medical Store, which had given her the medicines, after her death. The owner of the chemist's store, Biplab Debnath, fled the scene after the incident, as per reports.
