DHUBRI: The 'Legal Services Authority' Dhubri district organised Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme on "Legal Awareness Programme on Laws Related to Women"
The programme was held on 3rd November, 2021 at the conference hall of Circuit House, Dhubri in collaboration with National Commission for Women (NCW) and Sakhi - One Stop Centre, Dhubri.
India has grown significantly across all sectors but still their are many problems which is faced by many women regarding impart practical knowledge about legal rights and remedies, which provides under various women-related laws.
The aim is to make women aware of the various machineries of the justice delivery system available for redressal of their grievances such as the police, the executive and the judiciary.
Keeping in view, the awareness meeting was conducted by Jipsy Dev, Secretary, Dhubri District Legal Services Authority, lawyer Mahua Das and Mukhtara Islam of Dhubri district participated in the meeting as a content person and spoke on how to provide legal aid in critical times.
It has become quintessential for women to be aware of the rights bestowed upon them by the Constitution and the procedure to remedy the situation or seek justice if they are infringed upon," Mahua Das, Advocate, Dhubri said.
