The man who had misbehaved with a female Journalist in Assam’s Guwahati on Saturday, has been arrested by Police today.
The accused, Pranabjyoti Das, was arrested today, following a case lodged at the Paltan Bazar Police Station.
The entire incident was caught on camera. Das was seen misbehaving with Journalist, Mitali Konwar. He was also seen calling the media ‘stupid, nonsense and hopeless’. He also tried to snatch away her microphone and later threatened her of 'dire consequences'.

Das had misbehaved with Konwar on Saturday while she was on duty, reporting on the recently imposed Motor Vehicles (MV) Act.
The incident occured at the Bora Service Petrol Pump, which the journalist had visited to report on the long queues at the pollution testing centre.
According to Journalist Konwar, the pollution centre had not opened. The people stood in queues and were having some clash among themselves, regarding their positions in the queue. As she went to take the byte of the officials of the centre, the man suddenly erupted, and abused her using unparliamentary words.
