Assam MP's nephew found hanging at his residence; suicide suspected

GUWAHATI: A young man was found hanging at his house in Latasil area here this morning.

The deceased, Kaushik Oja, reportedly went out of his house after having his dinner late last night.

When he did not return, his family members called him on his mobile phone, which went unanswered.

Oja’s family members later found his body hanging from the ceiling.

Though no suicide note has been found, police suspect Oja committed suicide.

However, the exact cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.

The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem and investigation is on.

Kaushik Oja, who owned the Saraighat Hyundai dealership in the city, was the nephew of Guwahati Lok Sabha MP Queen Oja.
