ASSAM: MUKOLI BIHU ORGANISED BY AASU IN GUWAHATI

As the month of Spring is heralding, carpeting the vicinity with the greens, Assam is all set to glorify nature with the celebration of its biggest festival, Rongali Bihu. In the similar lines, every year on this  particular day, the All Guwahati Student's Union organises Mukoli Bihu, welcoming the festival with all its fervor. The program commenced with the hoisting of the traditional flag by eminent writer Dr. Nagen Saikia.

A chorus Srimoy Axomi was performed by students of Handique Girls College followed by a captivating dance performance. After the Bihu dance, Dakhingaon Choigao Bohurongi troupe performed Dhuliya Xari Nason.

As a tribute to the veteran Assamese Actor, Biju Phukan,  his evergreen song ‘Mon Hira Doi’ was performed. The first phase of the program ended with the dance of small children.

Then started the felicitation round where the All Assam Student Union advisor Dr Samujjal Bhattacharya felicitated Prafulla Govinda Baruah, Arup Kumar Dutta, Jayashree Goswami Mahanta, Dr Rita Boro, Rima Das, Manoj Barpujari.
