With the beginning of the autumn session of the State Assembly on Friday, various issues related to NRC updation, Flood, Erosion, Recruitment, reviving of Jagirod and Cachar Paper Mill became a core agenda of protests at Dispur Last Gate by CPI, Voter Party International (VPI), and Assam Sangrami Manch.
The protestor at Dispur Last Gate chanted slogans demanding to complete NRC on time, revive Jagiroad and Cachar Paper Mill. They also demanded to consider flood as a National problem. They also said that NRC Seva Kendra’s duties and responsibilities should be made public and the deceased who were victimized by the fault of the NRC authority should be compensated with Rs 10 lakh.

On the other hand, while demonstrating protest at Last Gate, the VPI and Assam Sangrami Manch said, “Nowadays we don’t see the leaders, we just see actors who acted in front of the camera and show off so which should be stopped.”
Moreover, a leader of Assam Sangrami Manch alleged that “This government does not think about his own unemployed youth, they should learn from Gujarat. They should try to bring 5000 cr. rupees for Assam flood.”
