Assam: One Arrested in Dibrugarh Murder Case

Dibrugarh, February 10, 2020:

Assam Police have arrested one individual in case of murder of Om Prakash Agarwala, who was shot dead by unidentified miscreants at Dibrugarh district’s Graham Bazar area.

The individual, identified as Ebad Ali, has been arrested in the murder case of Agarwala. It may be mentioned here that Om Prakash Agarwala, an employee of a flour mill in Dibrugarh was shot dead while returning from work on a motorcycle.

He was shot 100 metres away from his residence. He sustained two bullet injuries on his stomach and succumbed to his injuries at Assam Medical College and Hospital in DIbrugarh. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.

It needs mention here that dacoity cases have increased in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia since October 2019. Several cases of dacoits looting and attacking passengers and locals in broad daylight or evening besides the wee hours have also been reported from Dibrugarh during the period between September to December 2019.
