Assam: One Dima National Army (DNA) Cadre Apprehended

Guwahati, August 2, 2019:

Dima Hasao police on Thursday apprehended a cadre of the Dima National Army (DNA) and also cadre of now disband DHD cadre in Maibang area.

The apprehended cadre has been identified as Lodinon Hojai alias Rambo.

A stolen mobile phone which was used for several extortion activities was recovered from his possession.

A case has been registered at Maibang Police Station under case no. 29/19 under section 384 IPC.

Dima Halam Daogah was an Indian extremist group operating mainly in Assam and Nagaland. The group laid down their arms on 1 January 2013, and claimed to represent the Dimasa and their goal to create a Dimaland or Dimaraji in the two states.
