Assam Panchayat Election | 65.5 per cent voter turnout recorded

Guwahati, December 5, 2018:

The 16 districts where panchayat elections were held, witnessed a total of 65.5 per cent voter turnout according to the Assam State Election Commission (ASEC).

The ASEC informed that till the closing of the voting for the first phase, the total recorded voter turnout was 65.5 per cent.

However. The election commission expects, the polling per cent to increase by 10 per cent in the second phase of the election.
