ASSAM: PANCHAYAT ELECTIONS TO BE HELD WITHIN 15 SEPTEMBER

The long awaited Assam Panchayat Election will be held within 15^th September 2018.

Panchayat and rural development minister Naba Kumar Doley speaking to InsideNe said that the state officials have been appointed to perform duties at the Zila parishads, Anchalik panchayats and Gaon panchayats levels  for the Panchayat election which is going to be held within 15^th September. Further he also said that the upgrading process of NRC is going on, but the judiciary denied the plea of extending Panchayat election and ordered to hold the  Panchayat election within September 2018.
