Speaking on the emergence of the Assam Public Works(APW) and it's longstanding protest against the ULFA by being among the people discarding the weapon, Sharma stated that it was fortunate when a faction namely the ULFA(Pro) agreed upon for peace talks, such an initiative should be welcomed by Paresh Baruah from ULFA(I) and join the process or commit suicide rather than being a hindrance in the process.
