Assam Police Apprehends Notorious Dacoit, Recovers Illegal Weapons

Guwahati, February 13, 2020:

Assam Police on Thursday arrested a dacoit from Nagaon for illegal possession of weapons.

An operation was launched by Nagaon Police, along with 34BN CRPF Katimari in the area of Tuktuki under Dhing Police Station and apprehended the dacoit, identified as Babul Hussain.

The personnel recovered one 22mm pistol along with magazine and9 (Nine) rounds of 22 mm live ammunitions. One Apache RTR bike bearing registration No AS 02 AA 5472 has also been recovered.

The operation was led by John Das, APS, DySP DSB along with I/C Ahom gaon SI(UB)Dandadhar Kumar, WSI (P) Anjushree Kalita and Dhing PS staff.
