GUWAHATI: The Morigaon administration today burnt drugs worth ₹4 crores 80 Lakh.

The Drug Disposal Committee disposed the seized drugs and psychotropic substances of 105 cases after necessary legal formalities.

Special DGP Law and Order, GP Singh through his tweet informed, “Today @MorigaonPolice with the Drug Disposal Committee disposed the seized drugs and psychotropic substances of 105 cases after observing necessary legal formalities Ganja - 198.478 kgs,Heroin - 561.89 gm,Cough Syrup bottles 6289,Brown Sugar - 212.01 gm, Tablets=83,151”

Earlier in July, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma set fire to heaps of drugs as the state government started its drive to destroy narcotics. The drive was held at Diphu, Golaghat, Nagaon and Hojai.
