KARBI ANGLONG: In yet another successful crusade against illegal drugs in Assam, Karbi Anglong police busted an inter-state gang of smugglers on Friday.
The Karbi Anglong police arrested two persons involved in the case.
During the operation, the police seized 2kg of heroin which amounts to a total of 4.84 after adding up the quantity seized earlier by the police in this case.

Lauding the effort, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Pursuing an old case Karbi Anglong Police have busted an inter-state gang of smugglers, arrested 2 persons & seized 2 kg heroin. The total recovery in this case now is 4.848 kg heroin and this serves a major blow to the gang".
Assam Police, in response, extended gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that the department remain committed to dismantle the drug networks from the state.
