Assam Police busts ULFA (I) recruitment module; arrests 7

According to sources in Assam Police, the cops got whiff of the recruitment around Christmas, when two boys who were travelling to the outfits hideouts in Myanmar for training returned mid-way from Dimapur in Nagaland.

Based on their interrogation, the police picked up one Khanindra Kalita from Sipajhar area of Darrang.

Subsequently, based on Kalita’s interrogation, police apprehended Dharmendra Deka and Hiren from the same neighbourhood. As the network started unravelling, cops claim to have found out the alleged involvement of Dhrubo Baishya and Bolin Deka, both residents of Udalguri. They were also arrested.
