Assam Police confirms Paresh Baruah’s nephew joining into ULFA-I

Guwahati, November 18, 2018:

The Assam Police has finally confirmed that Munna Baruah, nephew of Paresh Baruah has joined his faction- United Liberation Front of Asom- Independent (ULFA-I) .

Reportedly, Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Tinsukia has confirmed his joining in Myanmar through a professional recruiter.

It may be mentioned that, Baruah’s nephew, Munna went missing three days ago from Digboi. After his family members found no trace of him anywhere, they suspected him of joining the ULFA-I. However, this information does not have any confirmation.

Munna is the youngest son of Paresh Baruah’s elder brother Bimal Baruah.

A missing report was filed by the family members at Chabua and Digboi police stations.
